BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Freshman Myles Jones (Redditch, England/Studley) earned Big South men's soccer second team all-conference honors and a spot on the all-freshman team, James Jordan (Dartford, England/Dartford Grammar) was named all-freshman, and senior Justin Zimmer (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) earned an all-academic spot as part of the league's postseason honors, announced on Friday.

Jones' second team all-conference selection was in an at-large spot. In addition, he and Jordan are the first duo in program history to earn Big South All-Freshman honors. Zimmer was named to the league's all-academic team for the second consecutive year.
A defender that leads Radford true freshmen in games started this season with 13, Jones is part of a Radford defense that's allowed 1.33 goals per game (third, Big South) and posted three shutouts, including two in Big South play (Liberty, VMI). He has a pair of assists - both came in Radford's 2-2 tie at Winthrop on Oct. 17.
Jordan is the top true freshman scorer for the Highlanders (2G, 1A, 5 PTS). He netted the game-winner in the season opener against Appalachian State (Sept. 4), and ended Radford's school-record scoreless streak with his strike early in the second half of a win over Virginia Tech (Oct. 6). Jordan also has a helper on Zimmer's winner against East Tennessee State (Sept. 11)

Zimmer was honored once again for his performance in the classroom, carrying a 3.6 overall grade-point average while majoring in exercise, sport and health education at Radford. On the field, Zimmer has started in all 15 games, scoring the game-winner in Radford's win over East Tennessee State and assisting on the game-winner against VMI.
