CONNOLLY AND KNORR RECOGNIZED BY NORPAC

RADFORD, Va. – Niamh Connolly and Alexis Knorr were recognized by the NorPac as the league's offensive and co-rookie of the week, respectively, announced Monday afternoon.

Connolly netted a pair of big goals in a 6-1 victory over William & Mary on Sunday. With the score tied at one, the junior put the Highlanders in the lead for good with just over a minute left in the first half. Connolly's second tally ignited a four-goal, six-minute outburst that keyed Radford's first win over the Tribe since 1996.

Knorr notched her a goal in a 6-0 win over Siena on Sep. 1. On a nice individual effort from in close, the rookie lifted the ball into the roof of the cage for her first collegiate score in Radford's home opener.

The Highlanders are off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 1983 and return to action on Friday when they head to Towson for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Tigers.
