
HIGHLANDERS ARE LEADERS IN THE CLUBHOUSE HEADING INTO FINAL ROUND AT BUCKNELL

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Led by two Top-5 performances, the Radford women's golf team holds a two-shot lead over Rutgers and Seton Hall heading into tomorrow's final round of the Bison Intercollegiate hosted by Bucknell. The 54-hole event is being played on the par 70, 5,981-yard Bucknell University Golf Club.
RU tallied a two-round ledger of 618 (314-304) compared to Rutgers' 620 (310-310) and Seton Hall's 620 (322-298). The Pirates' second-round 298 is the low round of the tournament through 36 holes.
Alexandra Austin and Hayley Hammond sit in a tie for fifth place at 12-over 152 through two rounds of play. Hammond led the Highlanders in the first round, firing a 4-over 74, which put her in second place going into the evening session. Austin carded consecutive rounds of 76.
Logging the round of the day for Radford was Kirsty Condon, who shook off an opening-round 82 by finishing with a 3-over 73 in the evening. The junior's two-round ledger of 155 puts her in a tie for 14th.
Paige Reese also bounced back from her morning 18 with a five-shot improvement in the second round to place her in a tie for 20th at 159 (82-77). Playing in her first college tournament, Katie Parrott is tied for 44th after rounds of 85 and 79.
Boston University's Kristyna Pavlickova and Seton Hall's Megan Tenhundfeld carded identical rounds of 75 and 71 for a 146 two-round total. The two front-runners are five shots clear of third place.
RU, the Scarlett Knights and Seton Hall will be paired together in the final round, which gets underway at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
