
WOMEN’S GOLF IN SIXTH AFTER DAY ONE OF APSU INTERCOLLEGIATE

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Thanks to a strong showing from Beatriz Mosquera Quintas, the Radford women's golf team improved its strokes by 17 from round one to two and moved into sixth place at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate on Monday.

The Highlanders shot 326 as a team and found themselves in seventh place. Mosquera Quintas led the squad with an eight-over, while Natalie Welsh carding a nine-over, Sidney Walker 10-over and Riko Nagai finished one stroke behind that.
In the first round the Highlanders only had four birdies as a team. Every individual by Mosquera Quintas tallied one. That wasn't the case in the second round as Mosquera Quintas had five of Radford's seven birdies. Four of her birdies came in the back nine and helped the freshman finish three-under and is tied for fourth-place.
Her play helped the Highlanders move up one spot in the team leaderboards and is solidly in sixth place. Radford is only four strokes behind Belmont, who is in fourth place.

The tournament is set to start on Monday, October 15th.
