WOMEN'S TENNIS SIGNS ONE IN EARLY SIGNING PERIOD

RADFORD, Va. – Radford women's tennis head coach, Jessica Giuggioli, announced her first signee of the 2018 class as Katey Fruehauf inked her National Letter of Intent to suit up for the Highlanders next season.
Fruehauf will join the Highlanders from Cambridge High School in Milton, Ga., where she was named an all-conference performer. On the Tennis Recruiting Network, Fruehauf was named a three-star recruit.
"We are very excited to have Katey join the Highlander family. She is a dedicated player that has shown strong results throughout her junior career," Giuggioli said. "She will be a great addition to our team next Fall."
During her freshman year, Fruehauf led Cambridge to a state championship, while not losing a set the whole season. During her amateur career, Fruehauf has won multiple SL3 Singles and Doubles Tournament Championships. Currently, Fruehauf trains as the Pro Tennis International Academy in Duluth, Ga.
Radford opens its 2018 campaign with a Jan. 22 matchup at North Carolina A&T. The 2018 slate will see the Highlanders play six home matches.
