WILLIAMSON RUNS SECOND-FASTEST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY AT STANFORD



RESULTS

STANFORD, Calif. – Junior distance runner Teresa Williamson clocked the second-fastest time for the women's 800 meters in Radford track and field history Sunday afternoon at the Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by Stanford at Cobb Track.
 
Running in section 6, she stopped the watch in 2:12.26 to place fifth. Williamson beat competitors from California and Michigan in her heat.
 
Annually hosted by the Cardinal, the Payton Jordan is known as one of the nation's premier track and field showcases for long-distance runners. Williamson was one of 59 entrants competing on "The Farm." The event included three Olympic or World Championship finalists, plus an NCAA champion.
