GREENVILLE, N.C. – With three Top-20 finishes already to her credit this fall, freshman Paige Reese of the Radford women's golf team sits T-21st after 36 holes of the East Carolina Invitational Monday.
The 54-hole event is being played on the Par 71, 5,947-yard Greenville Country Club layout.
Reese, who entered the Highlanders' fourth fall event tied for the team lead in stroke average (75.9), fired an opening round 74 before concluding the day with a four-over 75.
Like Reese, junior Jade Okamoto, the reigning Big South Golfer of the Week, fired a second round 75.
Sophomore Sophia Montenegro and freshman Kirsty Condon posted rounds of 77 and 78, respectively, to help Radford to a team score of 309 in the morning.
Playing without two-time individual medalists and all-conference performer Hannah Coles, the Highlanders will enter the last day in 15th place.
The third and final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
