Marketing & Gameday Experience Internship
The Marketing & Gameday Experience Internship is designed to help students gain valuable insights into the world of Athletic Marketing. Interns would assist staff in the development of marketing plans, management of databases and email campaigns, coordinating delivery of advertising collateral to media partners, developing marketing strategies to engage students on campus, and to increase awareness of Highlander sporting events.
Game Operations & Facilities Internship
The Game Operations & Facilities Internship will work under the Director of Operations in numerous roles. On the operations side, the interns will assist with all facets of game day management, including facility setup, crowd management and visitor experience. Facility duties will be day to day management of the athletic complex including field management, general maintenance, motor pool assistance and event setup.
Ticket Office & Sales Internship
The Ticket Office & Sales Internship is geared toward gaining real-world sales experience. Interns will work with ticketing staff to generate revenue through email campaigns and cold calling. Interns will also assist with the gameday responsibilities of running the ticket office for men's and women's basketball.
Athletics Communications Internship
The Athletic Communications Intern must be organized, self-motivated and have an eye for creative content. Interns will be involved in a variety of task aimed at covering all 15 varsity programs at Radford, including gameday responsibilities and office work. Experience and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, social media platforms and photography is preferred, but not required.
Advancement Internship
The Advancement Intern will assist with multiple initiatives to connect and inform Highlander Club donors, alumni, faculty/staff, and students. Responsibilities include managing social media strategies and quarterly e-newsletters, assisting with collateral creation and distribution and supporting additional day-to-day advancement operations.
Broadcast/Digital Media Internship
The Broadcasting/Digital Media Internship with have the opportunity to work with the Director of Digital Media in multiple areas. Interns will assist with day to day videography work and editing in Adobe Creative Suite, as well as working on live broadcast productions for ESPN+.
