BLACKSBURG, Va. – Radford's Mia Drobnjak and Sara Tegner won the Flight C consolation draw of the Hokie Fall Invite at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center Sunday.
After dropping the first match to UNC Wilmington's Casey Dashiell and Lindsay Leblang, 8-0, Drobnjak and Tegner went on to defeat ETSU's Diana Navrotska and Jessica Ratliff, 8-4, in the quarterfinals. Then, the duo rallied past ECU's Vanessa Fuleihan and Kristin Gordon, 9-8 (2), before edging Liberty's Jessie Boda and Annisha Domenech, 9-8 (6), in the finals.
In singles competition, Ivana Tomaic recorded a pair of triumphs before falling to UNC Wilmington's Christina Riley, 6-1, 6-2, in championship.
The Highlanders will return to action in Elon, N.C. for the Elon Fall Tournament, Oct. 8-10.
