
VOLLEYBALL COMES HOME WITH 3-0 VICTORY OVER PRESBYTERIAN

CLINTON, S.C. – Led by freshman Jesse Miedema's nine kills and .250 hitting percentage, the Radford volleyball team swept Presbyterian, 3-0 (27-25, 25-19, 25-15), in its final road match of the season Saturday at Furman Pinson Arena.
The victory improves the Highlanders to 10-19 and 4-10 in the Big South, while the Blue Hose drop to 12-17 and 5-9 in the league.
Senior Laura Waddell followed Miedema with eight kills and just one error to finish the match with a .350 hitting percentage, while Carly Fleming put down six kills with a .429 clip.
At the setter position, Desiree Aramburu put up 28 assists, four kills, and five digs, while Katelyn Meeks tallied 14 digs and a season-high six service aces, defensively.
As a team, Radford hit the floor with 39 kills (.259) and tallied seven team blocks, while Presbyterian recorded 38 kills and 17 errors for a .204 clip.
Amanda Kettles and Presley Mabrey led the Blue Hose recording eight kills each, while Kilee Ruppe led both setters with 29 assists and eight digs.
The Highlanders return home to take on conference-foe Liberty on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
