SWIMMING & DIVING FALLS TO NORTH FLORIDA, 183-60

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
– Despite 11 Top-3 finishes, including four season-best performances, the Radford swimming and diving team fell to North Florida, 183-60, in CCSA action Friday at the UNF Aquatic Center.

Sophomore Emily Turner touched the wall second in the 100-yard free with a time of 56.36, while Jessica Frazelle also finished second in the 200-yard back with a time of 1:02.69.

In addition to Turner's second-place finish, she placed third in the 100-yard breast and the 200-yard IM with the times of 1:13.65 and 2:18.34, respectively, earning a total of 10 points for the Highlanders.

Senior Janelle Colie recorded a season-best 1:07.17 in the 100-yard butterfly to place fifth, while freshman Haley Schweitzer finished third with a time of 1:03.94 earning three points for the squad.

Colleen Miller also recorded a season-best in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:25.16 to placed fifth.

Frazelle added to her second-place showing with a time 2:03.54 in the 200-yard free to place third and finish the day with seven points.

Junior diver Katie Shaffer continues to impress with a pair of second-place finishes recording a 238.45 in the three-meter and 242.55 in the one-meter.

The freshmen divers continue to improve with two season-best performances from Skye Hickling placing fourth in both one and three-meter boards with a score of 218.70 and 224.40, respectively. Alex Poletti also registered a season-best with a score of 220.80 in the three-meter.

Radford will jump back into the water tomorrow when it travels to Florida Gulf Coast for a 2 p.m. meet in the FGCU Aquatic Center. CCSA opponents Georgia Southern and Liberty will also compete in the meet.
