
RU REMAINS IN MIDDLE OF TIGHTLY CONTESTED BIG SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

NINETY-SIX, S.C. – In the middle of a tightly contested leaderboard, Radford will enter the final round of the 2011 Big South Women's Golf Championship six strokes out of third place following a team total of 320 Tuesday.
The three-day event is being played on the Par 72, 6,025-yard The Patriot at Grand Harbor layout.
The Highlanders, who have never finished higher than fourth in the event, are currently tied for fifth with second-seeded Bucknell, one back of fourth-place Charleston Southern.
Hannah Coles leads the Highlanders after 36 holes at 159 (79-80), which puts her in 14th entering the final round.
Radford's Paige Reese paced the club on day two; climbing 14 spots up the individual leaderboard thanks to a six-over 78.
Also competing for the Highlanders are Jade Okamoto (T-22 / 163), Kirsty Condon (T-24 / 164), and Amy McCollum (T-27 / 165).
No. 48 Coastal Carolina (301-312 = 613), which entered the second round with an 11-stroke advantage, leads Gardner-Webb (316-306 = 622) by nine shots.
The Runnin' Bulldogs' Hannah Hellyer (+5) holds the top spot on the individual leaderboard following a one-over 73 and is three clear of the Chanticleers' Brittany Henderson and Kaitlin Higginbotham.
The final round will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
