CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – After dropping the doubles portion, Radford responded by sweeping the six singles matches as the Highlanders defeated Tennessee Tech, 6-1, in non-conference men's tennis action Saturday evening at the Hixson Racquet Club.
The Golden Eagles (0-1) claimed all three doubles matches by two points each to grab the early 1-0 advantage.
Radford (2-1) wasted little time taking the lead for good as Thomas Dehaen and Patrick O'Keefe improved to 3-0 on the spring with wins on courts four and six, respectively.
A day after blanking Chattanooga in singles action, the nationally-ranked Highlanders also got straight-set wins from Nicholas Sayer, Igor Ogrizek, Stijn Meulemans and Joe Mills.
Radford will enjoy a lengthy break before opening its home slate against Elon on Feb. 19 at 1 p.m.
