WOMEN’S GOLF 3RD AFTER FIRST ROUND OF LOW COUNTRY INTERCOLLEGIATE

DAY 1 RESULTS
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Radford women's golf team currently sits in third place and has three players in the individual Top-15 following the first round of the Low Country Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon.
Radford posted a first-round 316. The Highlanders, who are playing on the par-72, 5,853-yard Moss Creek South Course, are just three shots behind team leader and host Appalachian State (313).
Paige Reese led Radford with a six-over 78 and is currently tied for 11th in a field of 75 players. The sophomore carded a 39 on the front and back nine, respectively.
Jade Okamoto and Alexandra Austin each shot a 79 (+7) and is tied for 14th.
Kirsty Condon handed in a solid round with an eight over 80 and recorded Radford's fourth score in the team tally. Amy McCollum is also in the Top-30 with an 81. She is looking for a high Monday finish as she is currently 26th overall.
Maria Luz Besio of Newberry holds the individual lead at two-over 74.
The final 18 holes of the two-day event begins tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.
