RADFORD CONCLUDES ROAD SLATE WITH 6-1 WIN OVER NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL

DURHAM, N.C. – Radford concluded its road slate with a convincing 6-1 victory over North Carolina Central in non-conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon.
Winners of nine of their last 11, the Highlanders improve to 15-6 overall, while the Eagles fall to 7-8.
In addition to claiming the doubles point, Radford won five of the six singles match, including 6-0, 6-0 decisions from Taylor Newman and Meg Napolitano on courts five and six, respectively.
On the doubles courts, Petra Dajevic and Gemma Valls blanked Julia Aguilar and Lakisha McDougald, 8-0, while the freshmen duo of Hannah Crawford and Napolitano clinched the team point with their 17th win of the spring.
The Highlanders also got straight-set singles triumphs from Dajevic (6-2, 6-4), Mia Drobnjak (6-0, 7-6 (3)) and Valls (6-2, 6-2).
Radford will wrap up its regular season with a 10 a.m. dual tomorrow morning against conference foe UNC Asheville at the RU Tennis Courts.
