NINETY SIX, S.C. – Radford closed out the fall portion of its 2016-17 schedule with a sixth place finish in the Big South Preview at The Patriot at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, S.C.

The Highlanders tallied a 36-hole total of 654, charting a 334 on Saturday and a 320 on Sunday. Gardner-Webb captured the team title, leading both days with a 599, two strokes better than second place Winthrop.

After finishing day one with an 85, Khushboo Thiagaraj cut nine strokes off her score with a day two round with a four-under par 76 to jump up 10 places to finish tied for 21st overall.

Olivia Jay finished two spots behind Thiagaraj after turning in identical rounds of 81 for a two-day total of 162.
Â
Meagan Board carded an 80 on the final 18 holes of the preview to finish in a tie for 29th with a 36-hole total of 165.

In the stat category, Morgan Cox finished tied for fifth overall with four birdies.
