BLACKSBURG, Va. – Radford was shutout in Big South play for the second time on the season as the Highlanders fell 7-0 to No. 53 Winthrop, Sunday evening in a neutral site meeting at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
The closest matches for the Highlanders came from Tarrannum Handa and Grace Sarver singles action.
Handa fell in No. 2 singles, dropping a 6-3, 7-5 decision to No. 114Alice Garcia. Sarver fell to Caitlin Cridland in No. 4 singles by a score of 7-5, 6-3.
The Highlanders (1-10, 1-5) return to action on Friday, traveling to in-state foe James Madison for a 2 p.m. regional matchup.
