MESZAROS ADVANCES TO ROUND OF 32 IN ITA REGIONAL

BLACKSBURG, Va. – On the second day of the 2017 ITA Atlantic Regional, Lotti Meszaros advanced to the Round of 32 in the Singles Main Draw bracket with comeback win Saturday afternoon.
In her first action in the ITA regional, Meszaros battled back for a 0-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Penn State's Samantha Smith. With the win, Meszaros will face the No. 7 seed Elena Cerezo-Codina of Virginia Tech in the Round of 32.
After picking up their opening win on Friday, the doubles tandem of Natalie Sayer and Tyler Blalock fell to the 13th seeded Delaware duo of Brooke Pilkington and Sara Komer by the score of 8-3.
In extra matches on the day, Sayer defeated Mount St. Mary's Megan Gamble 6-0, 6-3 to pick up her second extra singles win of the regional. Zoe Fraser joined Sayer in the extra singles win column, defeating Virginia Tech's Fallon Delp 6-3, 6-2.
Drousile Dzeubou dropped a hard fought 7-5, 7-6 (3) extra singles match to Delaware's Amanda Studnicki. Jeanine Acierto fell to Dori Mesmer of Virginia Tech 6-2, 3-6, 10-3. Blalock fell to Laurel Shymansky of Duquesne 6-2, 6-0.
