MESZAROS & DZEUBOU COLLECT WINS IN 5-2 LOSS TO CHARLESTON SO.

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Radford dropped a 5-2 match to Charleston Southern on Tuesday afternoon in Big South action, picking up two singles wins.
Charleston Southern opened the match with three doubles wins. The duo of Jeanine Acierto and Zoe Fraser dropped a tough 7-6 (7-2) match to Kimberley Koerner and Michelle Schmitz in No. 3 doubles.
The Buccaneers clinched the match after earning wins in No. 6, No. 4, No. 3 and No. 5 singles to take a 5-0 lead.
Continuing her sensational freshman campaign, Lotti Meszaros defeated Valeria Koussenkova 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (11-9). Playing her first match in No. 2 singles on the year, Meszaros improved to 11-4 on the season and 3-1 in Big South play.
Radford's second win on the day came from Drousile Dzeubou as she collected a 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over Sophie Cloessner in No. 1 singles. Dzeubou also improved to 3-1 in conference action and 8-7 overall.
Radford will continue Big South play this week, hosting Campbell on Thursday for a 11 a.m., match and UNC Asheville on Saturday at 1 p.m.
