RADFORD CONCLUDES BIG SOUTH PLAY WITH 5-2 LOSS TO LIBERTY

RADFORD, Va. – Radford wrapped up Big South play on Tuesday afternoon, falling to Liberty 5-2 in a Commonwealth matchup.
With the loss, Radford (9-11, 3-5 Big South) will finish sixth in the regular season standings and will face third-seeded Campbell on April 19 in the Big South Tournament quarterfinals. The match is slated for a 6 p.m., start.
Liberty (15-8, 7-1 Big South) opened the match by taking all three doubles for an early 1-0 lead.
The Highlanders evened the match at one as Tyler Blalock picked up a win in No. 4 singles as Rebekah Anderson retried in the first set as Blalock was leading 6-5. The win was the third conference win on the season for the freshman.
Liberty proceeded to win the next four matches, taking the match with a 5-1 lead.
Drousile Dzeubou battled back for Radford's second win on the day in No. 1 singles, handing Ashley Bongart a 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 decision. Dzeubou improves to 11-8 on the year and 6-2 in Big South play with the win.
Radford finishes the regular season on Saturday with a 12 p.m., match against future Big South foe Hampton. The match will serve as Senior Day for Natalie Sayer.
