HARRISONBURG, Va. – Radford fell to Commonwealth foe James Madison 4-0 in a rain shortened contest on Tuesday afternoon at the Hillside Tennis Courts.
James Madison (17-1) continued its record season with three wins in doubles play to start the match. The tandem of Drousile Dzeubou and Lotti Meszaros won three sets, most by a Highlander duo on the day.
The Dukes sealed the match with wins in No. 4, No. 6 and No. 2 singles.
With three matches left unfinished, Dzeubou was leading 2-1 in set two of No. 1 singles after dropping the opening set 6-3 to Elizabeth Norman.
Joining Dzeubou in leading a set was Jeanine Acierto, who led Diana Flament 5-2 in the second set after dropping the No. 5 singles first set 6-3.
Radford (9-9) returns to Big South play on Saturday, traveling to Clinton, S.C., for a 2 p.m., match against Presbyterian.
