RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team picked up its third straight victory on Tuesday with a 6-1 win over Mount St. Mary's at the Radford Tennis Complex.

The Highlanders started off the match with the doubles point after Anastasia Belyaeva and Jeanine Acierto took court 2 with a 6-2 victory. Malin Falk and Marielle Leahy won the first doubles match by the same score.

Belyaeva was feeling great after her doubles point clincher and carried that momentum to singles play on court 1. She defeated Alexa Quintanilla 6-2, 6-1 for the first singles point. Acierto was also feeling the energy as she gave Radford a 3-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court 3.

Marielle Leahy picked up her first victory as a Highlander and it couldn't come at a better time as she gave Radford a 4-0 victory.

Radford won two of the next three matches after they all went into three set tiebreakers.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will stay home and look to go 3-0 in the Big South when USC Upstate pays a visit to the Radford Tennis Complex on Friday at 2 p.m.
