
WOMEN’S TENNIS FALLS TO CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The Radford women's tennis team fell to Cal State Northridge, 5-2, at the Matador Tennis Complex in Northridge, Calif.
CSUN won the first two doubles matches and had a lead on court 1, but the teams didn't finish the final match.
The Matadors then captured straight set victories at the No. 5, No. 6 and No. 4 courts to clinch the match, but the Highlanders refused to quit as they battled to win two of the final three matches.
Drousile Dzeubou gave Radford its first victory with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Anastasia Belyaeva then picked up another Highlander win with a 10-point tiebreak victory, 10-7. Belyaeva dropped the first set but bounced back to pick up the final two sets.
The Big South's Freshman of the Week, Malin Falk, fell on court 3 by way of another 10-point tiebreaker set, the second of the match.

The Highlanders will continue their spring break trip with a match on Thursday at Chapman in Orange, Calif., at 4 p.m.
