HIGHLANDERS END ACTION-PACKED SPRING BREAK WITH A 6-1 VICTORY AT THE CITADEL

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Radford men's tennis team ended an action-packed spring break trip with a 6-1 victory at The Citadel on Saturday.

Radford won the first two doubles matches, 6-1, but The Citadel won the consolation doubles match on court 2.

The Bulldogs began the singles competition with a win on court 5, which tied the match at one. After that Radford didn't look back and won the next five matches. Yevhen Sirous and Michiel Meekers each picked up wins on courts 1 and 4, respectively.

Alexandros Caldwell went on to clinch the match with a 7-5, 6-1 victory on court 3. Andres Silva won his second consecutive singles match on court 6, after dropping the first set 6-0. He bounced back with a pair of tiebreaker wins in the second and third set.

Rodrigo Magalhaes gave Radford its fifth straight singles victory with a 6-3, 6-4 win on court 2.

The Highlanders return home for Greek Day on Wednesday as they take on Longwood at 2 p.m.
