RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team fell to Presbyterian on Saturday afternoon at the Radford Tennis Complex in Radford, Va.

The Highlanders fell in the doubles competition, but Malin Falk and Katey Fruehauf picked up a win on court 2.

Unfortunately, that was the only Highlander win of the day for Radford. Drousile Dzeubou, playing as the No. 1, dropped her match to Sydney Patton, 6-3 and 6-1. Falk was the next Highlander to fall. The freshman lost on court 3, which gave the Blue Hose a 3-0 lead.

Then Tyler Blalock fell to Beth Taylor on court 4, which was the clincher for PC. Fruehauf also lost her match, 6-4 and 7-6 (8-6) on court 5.

Radford continued to fight in the final two matches of the day. Anastasia Belyaeva and Jeanine Acierto took their matches to a third set. Acierto won her second set 6-3 but fell in the third set tiebreaker, 10-8 on court 6. Belyaeva was the final match to finish and she lost in a 10-8 tiebreaker on court 2 as Patton came back and won the final two sets.

Radford will host Charleston Southern at the Radford Tennis Complex on Tuesday at noon.
