
Highlanders Fall to Aggies in Second Home Match

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford volleyball team picked up a set in a 3-1 loss to new Big South foe North Carolina A&T Saturday afternoon.

Similar to the night before, Radford came out strong in the first set of the match. The Highlanders picked up a 25-20 win to open with a 1-0 lead. Radford finished the set on a 4-1 run thanks to a pair of kills by Hailey Flowers and closed out the set on an ace by Trinity Burge.

The second set was just as competitive as the first as Radford battled back from an early deficit to tie the set late at 24-all with another clutch kill from Flowers. North Carolina A&T scored back-to-back points to close out the set 26-24, however.

After evening the match at 1-1, North Carolina A&T would take control of the match and win the next two sets to escape the Dedmon Center with a win.

The Highlanders will hit the road again for a pair of matches against Presbyterian and Charleston Southern this upcoming weekend.

KEY STATS
- Taylor O'Neal came very close to recording a double-double, missing the mark by just one kill. O'Neal finished the match with a colorful score sheet recording nine kills, 12 digs, a solo block and an ace.
- Kennedi Johnson led the offensive attack with 10 kills, her sixth time recording double-digit kills this season.
- The Aggies committed 11 service errors on the match while the Highlanders had five different players record an ace.
