Highlanders’ Win Streak Snapped in Loss to Hampton

Hampton, Va. – The Radford Volleyball team saw their win streak end at two games as they fell on the road to Hampton 3-0 in Big South Conference action Friday evening.
Radford got off to a slow start in the first set, as the Pirates scored the first eight points to take the opener 25-14.
The second set played out in similar fashion, as Hampton won 25-15. Junior Morgan Lawson did record two of her team-high six kills in the set.
In the third game, Hampton narrowly clinched the win despite a late Highlander comeback. The visitors trailed by as many as five, and scored two straight during match point to keep the game going before ultimately falling 27-25.
