Radford Sees Great Results at Thunder in the Mountains

CHARLESTON, W.V. – The Radford women's tennis program wrapped up a three-day tournament at the Thunder in the Mountains Sunday afternoon with the highlight being Salma Loudili's singles victory over West Virginia's number one player.

Radford picked up many great victories all weekend in doubles play. The pairing of Loudili and Melissa Ifidzhen picked up wins over West Virginia State and Villanova. Malin Falk and Emily Brandow also picked up a pair of victories against West Virginia State and Villanova. In their lone doubles match of the weekend, Katey Fruehauf and Camryn McClure defeated Villanova 6-1.

On Friday Radford got their biggest win of the weekend thanks to Loudili who took down West Virginia's number one 6-2, 6-3. Loudili would go on to pick up singles victories over Villanova and West Virginia State as well.

Ifidzhen picked up a win against West Virginia State while Falk also picked up victories against Villanova and West Virginia State. Brandow was victorious against West Virginia State while McClure beat Villanova and West Virginia State. On courts six and seven Radford picked up four more wins against Villanova and West Virginia State.

Radford will travel to Lynchburg, Va. for one of the premier events of the fall in the ITA Regionals which are held October 1st through 3rd.
