RADFORD, Va. – The Radford volleyball team dominated in nearly every facet of the game to roll to a 3-0 sweep over USC Upstate on Carilion Clinic Court at the Dedmon Center on Friday night.

The win pushes the Highlanders' record to 11-16 overall and 7-8 in Big South play, with a chance to reach .500 on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Spartans drop to 6-22 on the year and 3-12 against conference foes.

Radford is one of its best streaks in some time, winning four of its last six matches and five of its last eight.

Usual suspect Sophie Paspal led all players with 13 kills on 21 attack attempts for a spectacular .571 hitting percentage. She also got up for a pair of solo blocks.

Her running mates have changed throughout the season, but freshman Kennedy Robinson was the teammate to step up big this time out. The Fort Mill, S.C. native reached a new career high with 10 kills, passing her previous best of six from last weekend at Campbell. She also added two digs and a block assist.

As a team, the Highlanders collected 40 assists on 42 kills, easily eclipsing USC Upstate's totals of 26 assists on 27 kills.

Jackeline Nerro's streak of double-doubles came to an end, but just barely as she notched a team-high 22 assists and nine digs.

Grace Tulevech (nine kills), Taylor Jefferson (five kills), and Tytianna Roberts (four kills) also made big contributions in the victory
Radford had six service aces
USC Upstate earned a 12.0-to-5.0 advantage in total blocks
This marks Radford's second 3-0 win of the season

POSTSEASON OUTLOOK
With Charleston Southern's win over Presbyterian last night, Radford has officially been eliminated from Big South Tournament contention.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders play one final match in the 2022 season on Saturday at 2 pm. They'll take on Gardner-Webb and Madison Monahan, Crystal Childs, Tori Britton, and Grace Tulevech will all be recognized in a pregame Senior Day recognition.
