Women’s Tennis Announces 2023 Campaign

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis program announced Friday afternoon its 2023 schedule which includes eight home match ups as well as a host of exciting road contests. All dates and times are subject to change, so be sure to stay tuned to RadfordAthletics.com for all updates.

The Highlanders kick off their season early in 2023 with a home meeting with Bluefield State set for January 25th. After that it's a quick trip to Blacksburg where Radford will first face Richmond on February 3rd before facing Virginia Tech on February 4th.

After another quick road trip to UNC Greensboro on February 9th, the Highlanders are back at home for another pair of exciting home matches. Radford will host East Carolina for the first time on February 11th and then host Appalachian State a week later on February 18th. The team will then return to Blacksburg, Va. for the Highlanders after that when they face West Virginia on February 19th.

To finish things off in February, Radford will open Big South play on the road with a match against UNC Asheville set for February 26th. Radford also has a road match scheduled at ETSU for March 3rd before the team heads up north for their spring break trip in the New York City area. Radford will play at St. John's (March 8th) and Monmouth (March 9th) to highlight the trip.

Another home contest awaits Radford when they return from their trip as the Highlanders will host Wofford on March 12th. On March 14th, Radford will have their conference home opener against Longwood. With a quick turnaround, Radford will host Marshall the next day on March 15th. Later that weekend the grind goes on as Radford returns to conference play with a match against Gardner-Webb on March 18th.

As the sprint to the Big South Tournament continues, Radford will host the reigning conference champs on March 26th when they compete against Charleston Southern. The next weekend Radford heads south for their last nonconference meeting against Elon on April 1st. Just a pair of road conference matches remain on the schedule at that point where Radford plays at Campbell (April 7th) and at Presbyterian (April 15th).

On April 22nd the Big South Tournament returns to the Marion Diehl Park in Charlotte, N.C. for the third straight season. Only the top four teams in the conference qualify for the postseason tournament this season and, should the Highlanders qualify, they will play first on April 22nd in the semifinals with the championship match set for April 23rd.
