Highlanders Battle Against #75 Marshall

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis program battled hard in a 6-1 loss against #75 Marshall Wednesday afternoon in their first match on the home courts of the season.
After Marshall took the doubles point, Radford was competitive forcing three sets on a trio of courts. Julia Abrams had the highlight of the afternoon winning a pair of tiebreakers to take the top flight 7-6(5), 6-0, 11-9. On court four Brooke Murphy battled back after a tough first set before ultimately falling 2-6, 6-3, 3-6. Camryn McClure also went three sets in her match, coming up just short 7-5, 0-6, 6-4.
The Highlanders have a quick turn around and are back in action tomorrow afternoon against Big South foe Longwood slated for a 2 p.m. start.
