Three Highlanders Named 2023-24 ITA All-Academics

RADFORD, Va. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced earlier this week that the men's tennis program at Radford had earned the All-Academic team award as well as three Highlanders earning ITA all-academic athlete honors.

Representing the Highlanders' men's tennis team on the scholar athlete list were three players. Charles Courteau, Evan Edwards and Filippo Marangoni were all named Scholar Athletes.

Within the sport of tennis, student-athletes continue to exceed expectations in the classroom and on the court. In 2024, 1,059 Division I Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 176 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, an athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the program must have a GPA of 3.2 or above including all varsity letter winners for the current season.
