Radford Cross Country Unveils Exciting Fall 2024 Race Schedule

RADFORD, Va. – Head cross country coach Sam Bradley and Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Shelli Sayers revealed an exciting ten-race 2024 Radford cross country schedule Wednesday afternoon.

The Fall 2024 slate, in which both the men's and women's programs will compete, features a quartet of races nearby within the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Highlanders will visit meets hosted by Liberty, Virginia Tech and Virginia throughout the 2024 campaign.

On Friday, August 30, the season officially begins with the Liberty XC Opener, hosted by the Flames in Lynchburg, Va. The following week, Radford will be back competing in the New River Valley when they'll compete in the Virginia Tech Invite on Friday, September 6.

Radford will leave Virginia for the first time in their third meet of the season when they run in the Firetower Project on Friday, September 13 hosted by Appalachian State. After that, the Highlanders are once again in Blacksburg, Va. to compete in the VT Alumni Invite on September 20.

To open the month of October, the Highlanders will run in the Pirate XC Invite hosted by East Carolina on October 4. Back-to-back meets follow that contest a couple weeks later as Radford will compete in the Mountaineer Feud (October 18, hosted by Appalachian State) and in the Panorama Farms (October 19, hosted by Virginia).

The 2024 Big South Championships are set to be hosted by Charleston Southern in Charleston, S.C. this year on November 1. The Highlanders will also look to compete against the nation's top talent in postseason action at the NCAA Southeast Regionals (November 15, hosted by Winthrop) and the NCAA Championships (November 23, hosted by Wisconsin).
