DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Radford men's tennis team completed their first fall tournament of the year this past weekend at the Davidson Invitational. 

Philippe-Elliott Bigonesse (Fr.) competed in his first ever collegiate tournament, impressively earning his way to the main draw finals against stout competition. In his first bout of action, he defeated his opponent from Davidson 6-1, 6-0. Bigonesse then went on to defeat another opponent from Longwood 6-4, 6-3.

Manfredi Vergine (Sr.) began his senior campaign in grand fashion, winning two matches en route to winning the back draw of his flight. Vergine defeated his opponent from UNC Greensboro 3-6, 7-6, 1-0 (3). He continued his stellar play in the final round, defeating his opponent from Davidson 6-3, 6-3.

Robert Hagen (Sr.) won one match on the way to winning the back draw of his singles flight. Hagen defeated his opponent from UNC Greensboro in the final round of his flight 6-4, 6-0.

Radford's fall schedule continues in a couple weeks as the team travels to Norfolk, VA for the 2024 ITA Regionals.
