Volleyball Falls in Regular Season Finale at High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Radford volleyball program fell in their regular season finale Friday night to a tough High Point squad in a 3-0 final.

Kills from Miller and Sloss helped Radford pace with High Point early, but a 4-0 run gave the Panthers their first large margin of the night. Kills and aces helped the Panthers pace ahead as kills from Hatch, Ryno and Taryn Roberts kept Radford within striking distance. The Panthers made just a few errors down the stretch to pull out set one in their favor 25-16.

Miller rattled off two kills early in set two as Hatch and Kennedy Robinson gave Radford their first lead at 4-2. An ace from Jackeline Nerro and kill from Sloss kept Radford neck and neck through the midway point of the set. Up 8-7, the Panthers got an 8-1 run that built a lead that proved too much. High Point would hold on in the end taking set two 25-17.

High Point led big to start set three 12-4 forcing a Radford timeout. Out of the timeout, the team got a kill from Sierra Moore and block from Sloss and Alana Kolb. High Point kept rolling after that, though, all the way to a 25-14 finish in set three taking the match 3-0.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will await the results of tonight's Big South matches to know their opponent for the upcoming Big South Tournament, hosted by High Point. Action will begin on Friday, November 21st.
