
Men’s Basketball puts on a show on the national stage in big win over UNC Asheville

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's basketball program treated Highlander Nation to an absolute show as the home team played to a big 77-53 win over UNC Asheville in front of a dialed-in crowd in an important Big South clash inside the Dedmon Center on Thursday night.
It a game that looked close at the start turned into anything but with Radford turning the contest into a rout in front of a national audience on ESPNU.
The Bulldogs held a slight lead at 14-13 with 11:44 left in the first before the Highlands turned it on and went on an eye-popping 21-0 run to take a 34-14 advantage. Radford outscored UNC Asheville by a 30-4 margin over the final 11:44 of the half to take a 43-18 lead into the break.
The second half was much closer, but by then the damage had already been done as the Highlanders cruised to the 77-53 win.
The victory was also an important one that kept Radford locked into the No. 4 spot in the conference standings with just three games to go in the regular season.

- Brandon Maclin led the way with 20 points, a game-best six assists, five rebounds and two steals.
- Truth Harris was next with an extremely efficient outing as he finished with 15 points and two swipes. He went 4-of-5 from the field (.800) and 2-of-3 on three's (.667) in his 22 minutes of work.
- Josiah Harris finished with his fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
- Jarvis Moss also chipped in 12 points and four boards.
- David Early (six points, three helpers, one board), Ibu Yamazaki (five points, five rebounds), Zion Walker (three points, one board), Isaiah Gaines (two points, three rebounds, one assist) and Tony Felder (two points) rounded out the Radford scoring attack.
