Stephens and Smolder Selected for All-Conference Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Wednesday afternoon that Michaela Stephens and Lexi Smolder had each earned nods to all-conference awards list for their strong 2025 seasons.

Stephens turned in another dominant season this spring and has been named to second team all-conference singles. On the top singles flight for Radford this season, Stephens earned key victories over George Mason, Illinois State, Virginia Tech and Longwood. In doubles paired with Brooke Murphy, Stephens earned victories over George Mason, Liberty, Longwood, Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb.

Smolder, landing on the conference's all-academic list, led the team in singles on court three this spring with seven wins and a 2-1 record against Big South foes. The senior also earned four wins on the top doubles flight.

Smolder has been a Big South Presidential Honor Roll member all three seasons with the Highlanders while earning big wins during this season over Liberty, George Mason, Longwood, NC Central, and Gardner-Webb. She currently owns a 3.71 GPA while working towards her major in Biology.
