Five Highlanders Tabbed to WGCA All-American Scholar Recognitions

FRISCO, Texas – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced Monday afternoon that 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team which include Radford scholar-athletes Grace Addison, Caroline Gilreath, Macy Johnson, Shea Smith and Mckenzie Weddle.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of women's golf scholar-athletes.

To be selected, a scholar-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. This season, 1,551 women's collegiate golfers, including 21 total from the Big South, were recognized with this prestigious honor.

The occasion marks the 10th straight year a Radford golfer has been represented on the list and the third straight year of a program-record tying five athletes selected. Smith has now earned the recognition in four straight seasons with Addison, Gilreath, Johnson and Weddle earning it in their third straight seasons.
