AS A FRESHMAN (2022-23)
Earned four singles wins and two doubles wins in her collegiate debut … Defeated Monmouth 7-6(6) on court doubles in her first spring doubles match … Finished the season hot on court five singles with wins against Bluefield State 6-2, 6-2, Campbell 4-6, 7-5, 1-0(8), and Presbyterian 5-7, 7-5, 1-0(9).

Ekanem currently ranks second in the state of West Virginia and has an impressive resume dating from her high school freshman to junior year. Ekanem was seeded at number one for her varsity tennis team. During her junior season she went undefeated, winning the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference title in both singles and doubles. She was also most valuable player for all three years and nominated Girls Tennis Player of the Year for USA Today, representing West Virginia.
