Radford University Athletics

Neal Leahy is in his 22nd year with Radford Athletics, currently serving as the Director of Operations. In this enhanced role, he is in charge of all game operations for the 15 varsity sports; in addition to overseeing the Dedmon Center and the surrounding athletic and intramural facilities. 
 
Additionally, Leahy serves as the department’s liaison with the Big South Conference to maintain game operations and policy compliance. He is also a member of Radford University’s Information Technology Advisory Committee.
 
In addition to his duties at the Dedmon Center, Leahy, a 1997 Radford graduate, can be found behind the microphone during home men's and women’s basketball games. Leahy has been the PA voice for the Highlanders since 1996. He is often acknowledged as one of the most talented voices in the Conference, earning him a chance to serve as the PA announcer for multiple Big South Championship events.

An electronic journalism major at Radford, Leahy's first job following graduating was in Roanoke, Va. at WDBJ-7 television as a photojournalist. He found that his passion lie in athletics and returned to RU in 1999.

A native of Norwich, N.Y., Leahy resides in Fairlawn, Va. with his wife Tory and daughters Kylie and Mia.
