Head Coach Jeff Beeler is entering his 18th season with the Highlanders coming off the heels of guiding the long-standing program to new heights in recent years.

The 2024-25 season was a season full of program records and firsts as the Highlanders earned their first-ever Big South Championship. Radford recorded their highest-ever finish at Big South Tournament stroke play going on to earn their first head-to-head victories against second-seed High Point and the top-seed Charleston Southern to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament competing in the Charlottesville Regional.

Overall with the Highlanders, Beeler has guided Radford to 42 top-5 finishes in the regular season, six individual medalists, seven all-conference team members, three all-tournament team members, two Big South Scholar-Athletes of the Year, 18 Big South Golfers of the Week, and three program records for the 18-hole, 36-hole and 54-hole team scores. Academics have been a staple for the program as well, as Radford most recently checked in with one of the top-25 team GPAs in all of Division I.

In 2023, the program shattered its program record for the 54-Hole team score at 864 earning the championship at the Elon Women’s Invitational, breaking the previous record of 904. The regular season tournament win was also the program’s first since 2010. Back in action at the Elon Invitational in 2025-26, Radford tied the program record of 864 with a runner-up finish. The team’s 18-Hole and 36-Hole program records both came in 2010 at 285 and 586, respectively.

Success has been a consistent theme for the Highlanders at the Big South Championships over the last couple seasons. In 2024, the team set a new program record for round score with a 294 in the third round to finish 918, also a program record. The team followed that up in 2025 with a program low 914 to tie the team’s highest placement of third, also set in 2015. Four Highlanders have been named to all-tournament selections under Beeler including Larissa Carter (2015), Khushboo Thiagaraj (2018), Beatriz Mosquera Quintas (2019) and Grace Addison (2025).

Individually, Radford student-athletes have earned medalist honors six times including Hannah Coles (Charleston Southern Invitational and Lady Herd Fall Classic in 2008), Beatriz Mosquera Quintas (Benbow Invitational in 2019) and Macy Johnson (Elon Invitational in 2023, Pirate Collegiate Classic and Kingsmill Intercollegiate in 2024). Highlanders have been named to the Big South’s all-conference awards list 12 times including Hannah Coles, Megan Leineweber, Jade Okamoto, Alexandra Austin, Khushboo Thiagaraj, Beatriz Mosquera Quintas Grace Addison, and Macy Johnson.

Radford has been incredibly successful in the classroom, earning a host of WGCA All-American Scholar awards in seasons dating all the way back to 2014. The team’s 3.860 GPA in 2024-25 solidified the team’s placement atop the charts for academic performance, ranking 21st among all Division I squads. Five Highlanders were named WGCA All-Academic All-Americans, growing the team’s running total to 41 over the last 11 seasons.

Beeler currently resides in the New River Valley with his wife, Julie, and their three kids Lucas, Bryce and Pavynn.
