FINAL RESULTS
WILMINGTON, N.C. – Radford juniors Mia Drobnjak and Sara Tegner won their consolation draws in the 11th Annual UNCW Invitational Sunday.
After falling in the first round of Flight A2 to UNCW's Lindsay Leblang, Drobnjak defeated UNC Charlotte's Gabi Vergara 6-2, 6-1 before recording another straight-set decision over the 49ers' Iveta Guneva, 6-2, 6-1, to claim the title.
Along with Drobnjak, Tegner fell in the first round of Flight B2 to UNC Charlotte's Anna Ekelund, before going on to defeat conference-foe De Wit of Coastal Carolina, 7-6, 3-6, 10-7, in the final round.
The Highlanders will start their spring season against UNC Charlotte Jan. 28 in Davidson, N.C.
