BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team fell to Howard, 4-0, on Monday night at the Burrows/Burleson Tennis Center.
The loss drops the Highlanders to 2-8 on the season, while the Bison improve to 4-7 overall.
Howard took the lead early after carding wins on court two and three to claim the doubles point.
The top duo of Petra Dajevic and Mia Drobnjak recorded the lone doubles win for Radford as they defeated Katelyn Stokes and Brittney Morgan, 8-4, for their third straight victory as a team.
In singles competition, the Bison came out strong as Anne Akhimien defeated Emerald Lauzon, 6-0, 6-2, at the No. 6 spot to put Howard up 2-0.
The next two wins came shortly after on court four and three in straight-sets.
Due to inclement weather, the match was pushed back to 9:30 p.m at the indoor facility on Virginia Tech's campus.
The Highlanders will be back in action on March 19 when they travel to conference-foe UNC Asheville at 11 a.m.
