RESULTS
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Playing its first dual match of 2012, No. 71 Radford fell at nationally-ranked foe North Florida, 5-2, in non-conference men's tennis action Monday morning at the UNF Tennis Center.
The Highlanders fell behind 1-0 after dropping the doubles portion. Radford's lone doubles victory came from its top duo of Nicholas Sayer (Hong Kong, Hong Kong, Cams Hill School) and Thomas Dehaen (Zwevegem, Belgium, Middenjury), 8-0.
In singles competition, the Ospreys (1-1) won four of the six matches in straight sets.
Dehaen and Patrick O'Keefe (Salem, Va., Salem High School) recorded the only team points for the Highlanders with singles victories on courts five and six, respectively.
O'Keefe tied the match, 1-1, with a two-set (6-3, 6-2) win over Graham Edgar.
With the match already decided, Dehaen won his 18th straight dual match dating back to last spring with a 7-5, 6-2 decision over Leonardo Nahar.
Radford will return to the courts Friday with a 6 p.m. match at Chattanooga.
