RADFORD, Va. – Along with shooting a blistering 64.3 percent, Radford placed four players in double figures, led by Javonte Green's 24, as the Highlanders ended a 15-game losing streak with an 85-66 victory over High Point in Big South men's basketball action Tuesday evening at the Dedmon Center.

Green missed just four shots, converted 11-of-13 attempts at the line and pulled down 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. R.J. Price (17), Kyle Noreen (10) and Tolga Cerrah (10) also hit the 10-point plateau for Radford, which hadn't won since Nov. 16.

The Highlanders, who shot a season-high from the field for the second time in as many outings, drilled 10 of their 15 3-point attempts.

Radford (4-16, 1-7 Big South), which opened 10-of-15 from the floor, raced out to a 27-4 lead and stretched it to as many as 32 (45-12) on Chance Smith's third trey of the half, before going to the break ahead 45-15.

In addition to shooting 65.2 percent in the first half, including 9-of-13 from long range (.692), the Highlanders held High Point to 18.2 percent (4-22) in the period and without a field goal for the opening 8:14 of the contest.

Nick Barbour, who scored 30 of his game-high 33 points after intermission, was the lone Panther in double figures. The two-time all-conference performer finished 11-of-16 from the floor and 6-of-9 from behind the 3-point arc.

Much like the Highlanders in the first 20 minutes of action, the Panthers began the second half 11-of-15 from the field, including 21 from Barbour, to cut the deficit to 61-47 with 6:12 to go.

After High Point (7-11, 3-5 Big South) made it a 14-point game on several occasions, Radford stretched the margin back to 20 to put the game away.

The Panthers finished the contest shooting 43.4 percent and 12-of-25 (.480) from behind the arc.

The Highlanders held a 31-23 advantage on the glass and forced 19 miscues, which they turned 24 points at the other end.

Radford will conclude its brief homestand Thursday evening with a 7 p.m. contest against Campbell.
