RADFORD, Va. – With five all-conference performers returning from a year ago, the Radford track and field program is set to compete in the Big South Conference Indoor Championships this weekend, Feb. 24-25 at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va.

Among the returning all-conference athletes are Aimee Veatch, Brett Olinger, Justin Smith, Antonio Miller and the men's 4x400m relay team.

Veatch has two weight throw titles this year and hasn't finished below eighth in any meet. Olinger possesses two seventh-place showings in the 400m and has two Top-3 finishes in the 60m hurdles. Smith has recorded three Top-4 shot put performances and also set the school record (16.25m) earlier this year. Miller finished fourth at the JDL Fast Track Invitational in the triple jump. In addition, the men's 4x400m relay team has garnered all-conference honors in six of the last seven years.

This indoor season's highlights include a school-record performance on four occasions, nine individual titles and 29 Top-3 showings.

Athletes to Watch
Freshman Vincent Wyatt became only the second hurdler in Big South history to surpass the 8-second mark in the 60m hurdles. Once named Big South Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, Wyatt owns the school record at 7.95.

Kaise White owns the third fastest 400m time (49.05) this season in the conference. White will also make an impact in the 4x400m.

Curtis Hodge has three weight throw runner-up finishes and has the third best throw this year (18.12m) amongst Big South athletes.

An all-conference performer in outdoor hurdles a year ago, Courtni Pannell has two 60m hurdles victories this year and ran the third fastest time in Radford history (8.72) last week in Blacksburg.

School-record holder Nikki Roseberry has charted the league's third-best high jump mark (1.65m) this year. She is also coming off a runner-up showing at the VT Challenge a week ago.

In her first season as a Highlander, Shalonda Mitchellhas one 800m victory, finished in the Top-9 on four occasions and owns the seventh fastest time in the Big South (2:19.00) this indoor season.
