VEATCH, DOOMS COMPETE ON FIRST DAY OF GEORGIA TECH INVITATIONAL

RESULTS
ATLANTA, Ga. – Radford's Aimee Veatch and Allen Dooms each posted high finishes in the hammer throw and 100m, respectively, on the first day of the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday.
Veatch, previously ranked 67th in the NCAA East Region rankings, moved up four spots to 63rd with a season-best 54.00m / 177-02 hammer throw. Her mark was good third place.
Dooms posted a 10.62 in the men's 100m dash to grab 10th collegiately in the prelims. Dooms' time was the fifth fastest time in program history.
The second and final day of the event and will feature Brett Olinger in the 400m hurdles at 2 p.m.
