SWIMMING & DIVING RETURNS HOME TO HOST N.C. A&T IN CCSA DUAL ON FRIDAY

Following winter break and its annual training trip, Radford swimming and diving returns home to host North Carolina A&T in a Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) dual on Friday, Jan. 24. The first meet of 2014 at the Dedmon Center Natatorium will kick off at 5:00 p.m. with diving and conclude with an 11-race format.
A LOOK AT RU: On the way back from its training trip to Fort Myers, Fla., Radford competed in a CCSA dual at Georgia Southern on Jan. 18, falling to the Eagles 143-88… Sophomore Sarah Fredericksen captured the 100 fly (58.53) to earn her seventh victory of the season, fourth in this event… The Highlanders finished in the top 3 in six other events… Senior diver Skye Hickling posted a pair of runner-up finishes on the one (193.87) and three-meter (267.55) boards, her second best score in latter event this season… Sophomore Mary Flinn also finished second in the 500 free, while the 400 relay team rounded out the runner-up finishes… Senior Jessica Frazelle (100 back) and freshman Madeline Schouten (100 breast) turned in third-place times.

THE AGGIES: This is first meet for the Aggies since they competed in Radford's Highlander Invitational the weekend before Thanksgiving.
UP NEXT: Radford closes out its regular season next Saturday, Feb. 1 hosting Saint Francis (Pa.) at 12:00 p.m. It will be the final meet in the DC Natatorium for the Highlanders' senior class.
