RADFORD, Va. – For the third time this indoor season, Radford track and field will make the short trip to Blacksburg and Rector Field House for the VT Challenge hosted by the Hokies, Friday and Saturday.

Competition commences at 5 p.m. Friday. First up in the field events are the triple jump, the unseeded women's pole vault and the men's weight throw. Meanwhile, the women's 600-meter run gets things going on the track. The women's high jump kicks off Saturday's action at 11 a.m.

AKRON INVITATIONAL RECAP
Teresa Williamson was the star runner for the Highlanders in Akron, breaking two more school records: the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters.

On the men's side, Vincent Wyatt picked up his fourth win of the season in the 60-meter hurdles. Joseph Betts clocked the second-fastest time among Big South runners for the 400-meter dash by stopping the watch at 48.48.

BEST OF THE BIG SOUTH
Vincent Wyatt continues to hold the top time for the 60-meter hurdles among Big South student-athletes. His 7.78 performance at the Virginia Tech Invitational is the second-fastest time in program history.

UP NEXT
The VT Challenge serves as the final meet of the regular season before next weekend's Big South indoor track and field championships, which will also be held at Rector Field House.
