KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford women's golf team gets its spring slate underway Sunday-Tuesday at the prestigious Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Classic held at the resort's Oak Point (par 72, 5,902 yards) and Cougar Point (par 72, 6,001 yards) golf courses. The 54-hole tournament is hosted by the College of Charleston.

RADFORD LINEUP
Alexandra Austin will play at No. 1 for Radford. The junior enters 2014 with the lowest scoring average on the team at 76.3. Her best showing of the fall came at the Big South Preview where she shot a 1-over-par 73 to place third. Austin finished inside the top 20 in each of her six fall tournaments.

Hayley Hammond will start in the second group. She holds the team's second-best average at 77.6 through 14 rounds. Hammond charted two top-10s in the fall, including a season-best sixth-place performance at the William & Mary Invitational. Austin and Hammond shared Big South golfer of the week honors following the William & Mary Invitational.

Kirsty Condon will represent the Highlanders in the third group. Condon's best effort also came at the Big South Preview where she placed 14^th. The senior has a 79.9 scoring average.

Playing in fourth and fifth will be Paige Reese and Olivia Jay, respectively. Reese carries the fifth-best average on the team at 81.4 through six tournaments. The senior posted one top-20 finish at the Big South Preview where she tied for 19^th. Jay's best showing came at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate where she tied for 18^th. She earned Big South freshman of the week following the William & Mary Invitational.

THE COURSES
Oak Point features undulating fairways and challenging greens. The Clyde Johnson-designed layout is built for shotmakers, where strategy and a thinking approach is rewarded over pure power.

Cougar Point was recently rated the "Golf Course of The Year" by the South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association. Redesigned by Gary Player in 1996, the course's front nine runs along the Kiawah River.

LIVE SCORING
Fans will have the opportunity to keep up with the Highlanders throughout the tournament via Golfstat's live scoring feature. Scores are normally updated every three holes.

UP NEXT
Radford returns to Kingsmill Resort for the second time this season to play in William & Mary's Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate, March 16-18. The Highlanders will tee it up for 54 holes on the famed River Course in Williamsburg, Va.
